Sometime After 1900

Sometime after 1900, Granny came from New Mexico; where they lived in a half-dugout sod house. They came in a covered wagon to Texas. Along the way, they used buffalo chips to fuel the campfires. Granny's father was a Preacher. Claude Morris married Ada Bean; our great grandparents. In the mid 1940's we would go to their house in Pampa. Grandma Morris would have cracklin' cornbread on the stove and Grandpa Morris would be in his rocking chair. He would take me on his lap and call me by the name "SOCKS". Granny's mother lived to go with them to California in 1958.
